Building a Landmark Healthcare Facility
The Seventh Avenue Medical Plaza is a five-story facility designed to extend the quality health care services of Tuality Community Hospital, now OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. This facility includesground floor medical, retail, and customer amenities. Two floors were designed to accommodate outpatient imaging and outpatient surgery services. The top two floors were designed as office suites for medical care providers. A helistop on the roof of the Medical Plaza serves the hospital, with patient transport via trauma-size elevator and new enclosed skybridge. The skybridge also facilitates physician and patient connections across campus.
The project began through a master planning effort between Tuality Healthcare and Clark/Kjos Architects to develop a long-term strategy for the campus. An ambulatory facility was one of the first elements needed to accommodate the Hospital’s projected growth. Pacific Medical Buildings, a developer serving healthcare clients, financed construction.
