PDXWLF 2024
In partnership with Solus Lighting and Pence Construction, we took part in 2024's Portland Winter Light Festival (PDXWLF)! This event celebrated the fusion of art, light, technology, and inclusivity, adding a special energy to Portland's winter atmosphere.
ABOUT OUR INSTALLATION
Through "the prismatic plastiquarium," our aim was to foster an appreciation for the beauty of our oceans while also raising awareness about the consequences of plastic pollution. By combining the captivating allure of light with the harsh reality of the plastic crisis, we hoped to motivate action. Our goal was for every attendee to depart with a renewed dedication to ocean conservation, understanding that our present actions profoundly influence the future of our seas. This interactive exhibit illuminated the ocean's splendor and underscored the impacts of our everyday plastic usage.
All the materials for our installation were generously donated and collected over a short period in Portland, and were recycled responsibly.
