Lane County Public Health operates five Community Health Centers “to improve the health and wellness of our community through access to affordable, holistic healthcare.” Their first clinic outside the Eugene/Springfield area will be in Cottage Grove, in a unique partnership with Lane Community College (LCC). An underutilized LCC classroom building will be partially remodeled to include a new clinic offering primary care, behavioral health counseling, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) services, and dental care. The clinic is expected to serve more than 5,000 people in the area.
Both students and healthcare clients share a common entry lobby. but also share much more. LCC students will use the clinic as a teaching/practicum space to help train the next generation of caregivers providing them with clinic experience. Bright and natural finishes throughout give the clinic a welcoming professional environment centered on care team workflows and workplace effectiveness.
